Why wouldn't I just hire a full-time web developer?
Most of the time, its not only expensive to hire a web developer, but its not a good use of time either. You have to spend time finding the right person, interviewing them, and then onboarding them. This can take weeks or even months.
With the monthly plan you can get started today. You can pause and resume your subscription as often as you need to ensure you're only paying for when you have work available.
There might be a time when you are ready for a full time hire, and I am here for when that happens. When this happens, we setup an offboarding session with your new hire, get them up to speed and give them everything they need to know to get rolling.
Is there a limit to how many requests I can have?
Once subscribed, you can add as many dev requests to your backlog as you like, and they will be delivered one by one.
How fast will the work be done?
Most work is completed in just two days or less. However, more complex requests can take longer.
For example: wiring up Sanity to your Gatsby site will take longer than adding a new module for you to use.
Who are the developers?
Black Mammoth is an agency of one. This means you'll work directly with me (Edward), the founder of Black Mammoth. I've been building websites for the past 6 years, and narrowing my focus on Gatsby, Next and Sanity. This allows me to quickly deliver high-quality work.
How does the pause feature work?
You may not have enough dev work to fill up entire month. Maybe you only have one or two requests at the moment. That's where pausing your subscription comes in handy.
Billing cycles are based on 31 day period. Let's say you sign up and use the service for 21 days, and then decide to pause your subscription. This means that the billing cycle will be paused and you'll have 10 days of service remaining to be used anytime in the future.
How do we get you access to our codebase?
I will need access to your codebase in order to make changes and release all your awesome new features. We recommend using GitHub, but we can also work with GitLab or BitBucket. Usually there is someone in your org who manages this, so we'll need to get in touch with them to get access.
What if something isn't quite right?
The beauty of a subscription is that I will continue to revise the feature until you're 100% satisfied. You don't to settle just because we are running out of our engagement hours.
What if I only have a single request?
Great! You can pause your subscription when finished and return when you have additional dev needs. You can also cancel your subscription at anytime if you don't think you will end up using it past the single request.
Are there any refunds if I don't like the service?
There will be no refunds issued. However, you can cancel your subscription at anytime. I am also happy to discuss any concerns you may have on my 15 minute call, or introduce you to some of my current clients so you can hear about their experience.
Do you build (Webflow / WordPress / Insert Platform Here) websites?
No. I specialize in Gatsby, Next and Sanity. I believe these are the best tools for building fast, scalable websites.

Yes! I work with Brett at Design Joy for all my design needs. You can either sign up with him directly for your team, or have me handle everything on my end.
